Doesnt matter. I find it quite amusing.

The Mileage Maxx's fins are engineered to improve engine combustion without restricting the airflow. Because the fins do not obstruct the middle of the intake pipe, air is allowed to flow freely into the engine

I think it works to some degree. Ive spoken to a couple mechanic guys about it. When I got my high flow air filter he said that after a while when it gets a little clogged up it causes a bit of a whirlwind effect when air passes through. But because the filter is so far away from the throttle it makes no real difference.
