Finaly found your site from se7enet.com after reading DS and DK forums.
Is there any chance that i can get access to your mods. I'm not registrated at se7enet, but loved the DS game and i would like to expand it's futures.

Yep. I can give you a hand with this. Since Jamin no longer helps I guess Im the foremost expert in DS now. Answer the question in the other thread. If youre interested in the game and would like to expand its future, perhaps you should take a look at my completely unfinished game which is a slow work in progress. Unless youre looking to make your own game.

yeah i know what you mean with slow work ...
I like this DS and its simplicity, and one day will probabbly release fully finished game
with all ideas but since I have to combine it with my regular daily business it is slow thing.
I will check your game out.

I wold like to have a look at your mods list and hopefully i will find some to go with my version of game.
Why should you grant me access? Because i broke an "idle" time of one year, five days, two hours and 38 minutes in this topic

In my recent quest to develop a tongue-in-cheek RPG on my website, I stumbled upon Dragon Knight the other day (evidently, I'm a few years behind the times). As my initial attempt to develop the game in Flash (which I've always hated) proved to be a bit too much of a pain, and my knowledge of PHP is limited (but gradually getting better), Dragon Knight seemed like a very cool, customizable framework to start with. Of course, this morning I discovered that a follow-up (Dragon Scourge) existed, and I've gotten as far as installing it on my server to see which works better for what I'm looking to do. From skimming these forums, I can tell that you keep the DS mod index closely guarded, but is there anything I can do to gain access? I promise to not use it for evil. If you'd like, I can send you a link so that you can check out what I've done with Dragon Knight over the few days I've dabbled with it.

Yeah, the guarding was mainly for earlier things. These days, I dont really care. I just leave it protected just to stop the occasional script kiddy who is too lazy to ask. I just go off your intro post. I still dabble with the code, Ive currently ripped it apart to make a new kind of rpg for mobile phones.
But whatever, you should be able to see the few mods there are now. They show up as a few new forums.

Anman, considering that you seem to be the only expert around these parts, do you have the time and/or energy to help someone (me, for instance) with some Dragon Scourge customization? Here are some things I've run into that I can't seem to figure out...
1) How to create portals at various points in World 1 that'll transport the user to a new target world independent of the story. In other words, I'd like those portals to remain accessible at all times and, ideally, show up on the map much like the towns currently appear.
2) Speaking of the map, is there an editable FLA file for that?
That's all I can think of for now. If you're busy or whatever, don't sweat it. I'll figure it out eventually. Just figured I'd ask.

If you want to create a portal, you need to create a page that will set the users realm to whatever you want. Force an update of the user row to whatever realm you want.
To make it show up on the map is a lot harder. Your best bet, is to treat it like a town. You can set up a new column in towns called istown or something. If it is set to 0, then when you enter the town page it doesnt bring up shop lists or whatever.
There is an editable Flash file. You will need to download it from the site you downloaded the game from. Log in and its in there somewhere.
